It occurred to me that the process Aubrey was engaging in as we continued to text back and forth was itself rich with the power of YET. Her students hadn’t mastered comprehending nonfiction text YET. 2015-06-23 "Not yet" instead of "I failed" puts you on a learning curve and a path into the future. It breaks the obsession with 'now'"I am a failure".
Instead of giving failing grades to those who did not pass, the school simply wrote “not yet” on a student’s report card.
